Fiona Bird is an author of multiple cook, foraging and activity books for children and adults.

She brings the nature from her living environment in the Scottish country side into her books and encourages young and old to go out, enjoy the world around them and experiment with foraged food. We have translated two of Fiona’s books, 101 Fun Outdoors Activities for Children (2018) and The Forager’s Kitchen (2016), with the idea to inspire entire families to go outside together.

Foraging brings to our kitchen a range of completely new aromas and tastes. Excellent ingredients that can enrich our every-day diet can be found all around us, from hedges to heather covered hillocks, meadows, forests and beaches… Only a couple of handfuls of wild fruits will evoke our imagination every time we put a pot on the stove.
